Want to learn everything about managing devices in Intune? then THIS book is for you

Introduction

It’s not every day that you get asked to technically review a book about Microsoft Intune, but when you do and when you are asked by none other than Paul Winstanley  who is my good buddy and fellow MVP, then of course you say a big yes.

I was lucky enough to be one of two technical reviewers, the other was my fellow MVP and really nice Danish guy, Sune Thomsen.

The book is co-authored by another MVP, David Brook, who is also a very smart guy, great presenter and really nice too! I met him at MMS in Orlando, Florida, he’s a great guy!

After saying yes to technically reviewing the book, I got down to the work involved. For those of you that have not done this before I can tell you it’s a lot of work. This entailed many months of reading and reviewing every word of this great book. Any feedback I gave went directly to the authors and we worked together to make it as clear as possible for you, the reader.

The book’s title is therefore very fitting.

Ultimate Microsoft Intune for Administrators.

So why should you or anyone else consider buying it ? simple, this book is up to date and covers everything you’ll need to get up to speed with things such as managing Linux clients, macOS, iOS, Windows 365 or the complexities of setting up your own Cloud PKI in Microsoft Intune.

There’s so much more of course, but if you need technical assistance and help setting things up, then this book will do all that and more.

Trust me, I know, I replicated everything that I reviewed in my lab.

Below are some examples from my Cloud PKI and on-premises SCEP setup after reviewing the Certificate Management chapter which was just one of many excellent chapters.

The full chapter list is below:

  1. Microsoft Intune Introduction
  2. Microsoft Intune Getting Started
  3. Group Management and Assignment Filters
  4. Windows Device Enrollment
  5. Apple Device Enrollment
